Converting GIS data to CSV

I searched far and wide for a way to do this. Eventually I found this website:

Uploaded the shapefile and got back the CSV. I chose WGS84 as the format.

I tried to verify that the coordinates actually mapped to something reasonable, but it's been difficult actually finding anything that'll display a map of coordinates. How does Google Maps not support this? Maybe I'm just doing it incorrectly.
